In 2005, Channel One Russia launched its flagship project in digital thematic broadcasting — the Digital TV Family. TV Nanny, Dom Kino, Muzika Pervogo, Vremya, and Telecafé are round-the-clock, commercial-free channels for viewers of most different tastes and preferences. Today, Digital TV Family is firmly associated with state-of-the-art digital technology, versatility and top quality of content.

Channel One Russia Digital TV Family is the most rapidly growing and effectively developing package of non-air channels in Russia. Among more than 150 channels represented on the Russian market five digital channels of Channel One Russia managed to reach record-high rates and indexes in the shortest time possible. In the last year the Digital TV Family audience grew by 50 % and now, less than 5 years since the project launch, it exceeds 20 million people. The channels are available in some 800 cities in Russia, the CIS, the Baltic States, North America, Europe, Israel, and Australia — everywhere where there is demand for high-quality Russian-language television.

One of the company’s key objectives is monitoring the quality and quantity of the Digital TV Family audience, as well as studying viewer interest and preferences. We aim at fully meeting the audience’s idea of a perfect television.

Today, when viewer interest towards digital television is growing steadily, Digital TV Family is not going to rest on its achievements. Channel One Russia plans to enhance its production facilities, occupy new thematic niches, maintain the highest quality of its TV content, and develop and promote the Digital TV Family brands.
